Satan does not want to to read or see the true and clear picture. He knows that it would move millions of people to Christ. How can you not love and follow a man that has suffered as Jesus has done not only for me but for you. What has Satan done to prove his love for you? He destroys your home, marriage,children,relationships,jobs, health and I could go onbut I am only allowed a small space here.I would personally like to take this opportunity to tell you about my crucified Savior
It was more to it than the pictures that you see with Christ hanging there looking very handsome with a few drops of blood here and there. Lets start with the night before he was crucified. Jesus sweat drops of blood
as he prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. This was caused by extreme physical and emotional stress. His blood vessels ruptured revealing small amount of blood with his sweat. He went and prayed three times while in the Garden to ask if this could be taken away from him as to what he was going to face. He also said not my will Father but yours must be done. His soul was overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Mat.26:38 this leaves the skin sensitive. This being, made Jesus skin more easily to damage during his flogging. He was bound and beaten by the hands of the guards
. Did you know that a bound man receives more trauma because he can not slip or roll with the punches as they are delivered. After a while he received two more beatings by the hands of the guards. Can you imagine how badly his face must have been disfigured at this time as he was mocked and spit upon.
Now that you have this pictured in your mind let us continue on with the flogging. The flogging consisted of thirty-nine lashes with a whip made of leather straps that had small metal balls woven into them along with one or glass that was alsoattached to these straps. The blowsfrom the flogging bruised and then opened up Jesus skin. The lashes targeted the entire back, buttocks, and the back of his legs. Flogging describes a persons spine being exposed to the red meat of the muscles being shredded which then make a person go into uncontrollable quivering or trembling. Sometimes it could be so bruttally done that the bowels would open up. Jesus heartbeat
became so rapid to try and pump more blood throughtout his body. This resulted in a drastic drop in his blood pressue, the kidney function being shut down. Many people died before ever reaching the cross.
They then made and placed a Crown of Thorns
and jammed it into his skull
forcefully. Then he was beaten again not only by the Guards but also with a reed. He was then struck several times with the reed driving the crown of thorns deeper and deeper into his skull. He continue to be mocked and spit upon. His beard was ripped from his face. ( Isaiah 50:6)
As if this was not enough Jesus had to lift the Cross up on his already shredded back. He then had to carry it up a hill. His body was so weak that he had to have the aid of someone help him carry it. The spikes used to crucify Jesus was lond and filed to a point. They were driven through the wrist about an inch below the palm. This area was chosen to keep from ripping the hand from the nail so that Jesus would not fall off the Cross. This caused permanent paralysis of the hand. Next they flexed the legs at an angle and then they drove another spike through his feet
Jesus suffered a terrible slow death. His heart
failed and lungs collasped and filled with fluid. The water mixture in the blood was witnessed by John when the Roman soldier thrust a spear into Jesus side and pierced his heart and lungs andthe mixture of water and blood spilled forth.
He went through all of this for us. He gave up his life so that you could have an eternal life. Won`t you come to Jesus today? Can you give your life to Jesus right now? It is so very simple. Just ask him to come into your heart. All you have to do is invite him in. He won`t just come in, you must ask him to.
Jesus was betrayed by Judas with a kiss and for thirty pieces of silver, that`s correct that is $30.00 lousy dollars
